Beef Tips Recipes
This evening, I pulled out the old pressure cooker. I love using the pressure cooker for roasts, pinto beans, but today I tried beef tips.
Today pressure cookers are safer than in our grandparents days. I bet every grandmother has a pressure cooker story where they were cleaning dinner off the kitchen ceiling. Both my grandmother and mother have told me these stories over and over again. However, I did not let that stop me. I have had two pressure cookers. My first one…do NOT put BBQ sauce in a pressure cooker. It sealed my pressure cooker and the lid never came off. I wished I had taken pictures of my husband trying to get that lid off. Haha! So we had to go out to dinner that night.
Follow your manufacturer’s directions.
My Beef Tips:
I package of Beef Tips, seasoned with Emeril’s seasoning and browned in just a small about of oil.
2 cups of beef broth.
Cover and cook on medium high for 45 minutes. Let pressure come back down to normal and remove lid. Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch or arrow root with a small amount of water. Pour in and simmer until desired thickness.
Serve over rice, noodles, baked potatoes or bread for an open faced sandwich.
